Many homeowner’s question the need for Flood Insurance on their property. Properties with a federally backed loan (almost all loans) are required to have a Flood Zone Determination (FZD) performed on them. On October 15, 2013, Mayoral Candidate Donnie L. Price filed a third complaint against The Wave to "Melbourne Beach Wave, LLC" swearing that "The Melbourne Beach Wave is a publication/PAC being distributed via U.S. Mail throughout the town of Melbourne Beach." He continues, the publication "clearly is being distributed by an illegal "political action committee" in violation of Florida election law."
Price swears to Election Commission: Margot Dorfman’s article about the Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department is an illegal political advertisement
On October 15, 2013 Mayoral Candidate Donnie L. Price signed a sworn statement and filed a complaint with the Florida Election Commission claiming the entire Melbourne Beach Wave should include a legal endorsement because Ms. Dorfman “published in” The Wave.
